Terms of use
Effective date: April 29, 2026. These Terms govern access to and use of BotScope. Our Privacy & acceptable use describes data practices and additional use rules.
Agreement
By accessing or using BotScope (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes the entity and its users.
The service
BotScope provides outside-in, non-destructive scanning and reporting for public web URLs, including evidence-backed findings where available. Features may include partial scans, full reports, APIs, exports, and optional monitoring, as offered in the product from time to time. We may modify, limit, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require verification or suspend accounts to protect the Service or comply with law.
License to use BotScope
Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes. You will not copy, resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive source code from the Service except to the extent allowed by law.
Acceptable use
You will comply with applicable law and will not misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes destructive testing, exploitation, attempts to bypass anti-automation controls (including CAPTCHA solving or scripted evasion), unlawful or abusive volume, interference with the Service, or use that violates third-party rights. Additional rules and examples appear in our Privacy & acceptable use policy.
Targets and third-party sites
BotScope is ownership-neutral: you may submit public URLs without proving ownership. You are solely responsible for ensuring your scans and use of outputs comply with law and with each target site's terms and policies. We do not endorse any use case and do not act as an agent of target sites.
Fees and payment
Paid features are billed as described at checkout or on pricing pages. Payments may be processed by third-party providers (for example Stripe). Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in the product. Taxes may apply. We may change prices with notice; continued use after a change may constitute acceptance where permitted.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, branding, and underlying technology. Reports and outputs generated for you may be used in accordance with these Terms for your internal and professional purposes; you grant us a license to host, process, and display your submissions as needed to operate the Service.
Third-party services
The Service may integrate with or depend on third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply to those interactions. We are not responsible for third-party services or sites you scan.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SCAN RESULTS ARE INFORMATIONAL AND HEURISTIC; THEY ARE NOT A CERTIFICATION OF SECURITY, COMPLIANCE, OR EFFECTIVENESS OF ANY CONTROL.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER BOTSCOPE NOR ITS SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). THESE LIMITS APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us and our affiliates, officers, and employees against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your targets or submissions, or your violation of these Terms or law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that risks the Service, other users, or legal exposure, or for non-payment or breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice where required by law. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance.
Governing law; venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction. Subject to applicable law, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware for disputes arising out of or relating to the Service (template choice—verify with counsel).
General
Entire agreement: these Terms and the policies linked above are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
